Abstract

The market for personal hygiene products grows every day, with bar soaps as one of the main products. In this way the improvement of its principles, properties and sensory tests grow together with sales. Faced with this scenario, people look for products that do not harm the skin and the environment so much, taking as an example artisanal soap, which contains more natural properties and principles, and undergoes the same tests as industrial soaps. Thus, this work aims to produce handmade soaps that pass quality and sensory acceptability tests. The product that was developed has a glycerin base suitable for soap, dolomite clay, rosehip oil, glycolic marigold extract and marigold essence as its formulation. After the development of the samples, they went through several tests, being them physico-chemical and sensorial acceptability, so that they reached the result in which there are no significant differences between the two bases used for the development of the samples.
